Finding and keeping that spark of joy that makes life not only worth living, bit worth wahoo-ing about, takes skill and practice. It may seem like a once-in-a-lifetime type of happiness but the truth is that there are spiritual and physiological solutions to the problem of consistently tapping into excitement, peace, love and joy without ever having to fake it.
That’s exactly what we explore on every podcast episode: how to be ok, find peace, change your relationship with spirituality, know deep love, and even tap into those feelings of sparking joy again.
I have spent nearly a lifetime looking for and mastering love, joy, relief and playfulness. Some of those moments of growth were from pure blissful inspiration and others were hard-won from tough times.
After my husband passed away, I heard a song that focused on the lyric, “Love like there’s no such thing as a broken heart,” and I thought to myself, “everyone always says stuff like that.” A moment later, I wondered what the world would be like if the lyrics were taken literally. Not just that my heart hadn’t been broken, but that broken hearts simply didn’t exist. As I focused there, I felt something begin to shift inside my very soul and I was able to access a new level of purposeful joy. Spiritual growth comes in many forms.
My years as a Spiritual Health Coach, combined with exceptional spiritual practices and guides, have made my experience accessing that spark infinitely easier.
In this podcast, I interview practitioners and coaches who can help you find your way to that happier place. They are people who have walked that walk themselves and can tell their story of the road they walked to peace, love, and even joyous happiness.
I like to think of our emotions like a roadmap. The little town of anger borders frustration on one side and rage on the other, while the town of satisfaction is close to delight and can lead to fun. In this visualization of our emotional landscape, each town can be as large or as small as we want it to be. But learning how to retrain ourselves to build up happiness and joy into booming metropolis’ and to neglect the tiny towns of fear, anger, resentment, guilt or frustration takes skill and practice.
Every time you get hit with the anxiety, sleeplessness, nervousness, worry, or sadness, your life can go into a tailspin. Work attendance and productivity can suffer, relationships can become distant or lonely and your healthy energy levels can wane. Even “happy” people often go through the repetitive cycle of happy, then not happy, then wonderful, then blahs-ville.
